Matildas coach Alen Stajcic announced a 21-player squad for the matches that will be played in Melbourne on 22 November and Geelong on November 26.
Heyman returns after missing the recent series against Brazil and fellow Shellharbour product Caitlin Foord has also been named. However, Cooper won’t get the chance to add to her eight international caps in the series which will make up part of Australia’s preparation for next year’s Asian Cup.
“Our focus all throughout this year has been building the depth of the squad in the lead up to the 2018 AFC Women’s Asian Cup in Jordan,” Stajcic said.
“Our two games against China PR will be our 10th and 11th matches this year, and I believe that throughout 2017 we have progressed significantly.”
