Wollongong’s Steve Rosa has been celebrating over the weekend after the tourism body he manages won the destination marketing category at the 2017 Canberra Region Tourism Awards.

Mr Rosa and the team from Destination Southern Highlands accepted the award at the National Museum in the category sponsored by Tourism Australia.
“The award recognises the unique and integrated destination campaign for this year ‘Pie Time’,” he said.
Launched on June 1 the quirky campaign promoted the Southern Highlands as 'Australia's Home of Pies'.
Events, festivals, signature pies, tours and pie competitions were all highlighted and a Pie Time website was created for people to visit.
