Wollongong CBD and railway station were the target of a police operation on Friday with a number of drug related arrests.

Officers from Bankstown and Wollongong were joined by the Police Dog Unit to conduct the operation.
Four people were arrested over possession of prohibited drugs, including cannabis and cocaine, and were issued court attendance notices.
One man was issued a criminal infringement notice for carrying a knife in a public place. While 14 rail infringement notices and seven move-on directions were also issued.
Similar operations will be conducted by the Police Transport and Public Safety Command in the future.
