A FORMIDABLE OPPONENT
As with Australia’s first female prime minister Julia Gillard, Kristina Kennealy has the calmness, intellect and knowledge to successfully see off even the most virulent of her detractors.

It is those qualities which make her a formidable opponent to John Alexander in the bi-election for the seat of Bennelong.
In contesting the Bennelong bi-election Ms. Kennealy has well and truly “thrown a cat among the pigeons” for the Turnbull government.
The Liberal Party’s less than stellar candidate, former tennis player John Alexander, has become reliant upon “headkickers “such as Julie Bishop to save his bacon.
From her first outing on the hustings Ms Bishop has indulged in almost hysterical commentary condemning Ms. Kennealy’s history as NSW Premier.
A problem with personal attacks, is that your own history may come back to bite you.
Such could be the consequence for Ms Bishop.
Bennelong voters may recall Julie Bishop’s history as a corporate lawyer for CSR when she fought tooth and nail to prevent rightful compensation being paid to CSR’s Wittenoom Mine workers victims of asbestosis.
Ms Bishop is alleged to have asked the Compensation Court Judge the following question: “Why should Wittenoom workers be entitled to jump the Court queue just because they are dying?”.

A DESPERATE LEADER
I have never been one to believe or fall for polls, but you can't help but notice Malcolm Turnbull and his party are way down at the moment,.
This in my book is not good because that leads to desperation and bad decision making and I do believe this is a desperate leader in the throes of collapse and his government is now in the process of self annihilating.
A lying self centred hypocritical government with a leader who will do anything to hang on to power.
Even if it means complete breakdown and governance and decency in this great country.

LIGHTING THE NIGHT
I’d like to thank everyone who supported the Leukaemia Foundation’s recent Light the Night fundraising walk in Wollongong.
By raising money, carrying a lantern or donating, you’ve shined a light on families facing blood cancer, showing them they’re not alone even in their darkest hour.
The Leukaemia Foundation provides families with blood cancer with emotional and practical support, information and educational resources to beat blood cancer.
Almost $31,000 has been raised by the wonderful Wollongong community.
Thanks to you, patients will receive transport to and from medical appointments, hundreds of regional families will be provided with free home-away-from-home accommodation near their treating centres and you are helping more Australians with blood cancer survive and live a better quality of life.
Thank you for your support as together we will be there to provide every family with the support services they need to beat their blood cancer.
With your help we’re lighting the way forward.
Bill Petch, CE Leukaemia Foundation
WHAT IS THE DEAL?
Premier Gladys Berejiklian can find $30 million for free registration for individuals using tollways but cannot find $3 million for Wollongong's free shuttle bus service that can transport hundreds of passengers daily, reducing pollution and parking problems whilst also proving a boon to economically disadvantaged residents, students, workers, and tourists alike.
Where is the economic rationalism in this decision?
