The talented guard had been closing in on a return from an ACL tear suffered at the Nike Hoops Summit in April.
But in a cruel blow, Glover has been struck down again with the same tear as well as meniscus damage after slipping on wet floor while working with athletes with disabilities on Saturday.
He will now require another 12 months of rehabilitation before returning to the floor.
Hawks coach Rob Beveridge was gutted for his young gun.
“We are devastated for him because we see how hard he has worked," he said.
“He was so close to returning to full fitness. He was shooting, he was dunking and sprinting.
“He has a mental and physical battle ahead but there is no doubt in my mind that he still has an immense future.”
