It was 3.18am on Thursday morning and the Corrimal Street restaurant was busy with a post-nightclub crowd when the man allegedly undid his pants and urinated in full view of fellow diners.
Wollongong Police have released CCTV images of the man, who is seen wearing a black cap and a black sleeveless shirt with ‘strong in the Gong’ printed on the back.
Police would also like to speak to the man’s companion, who wears thongs, in the footage, and has long brown hair.
The man will likely face a charge of offensive conduct, if caught, a spokeswoman for Wollongong Police said.
“Our information is that they were waiting in line at the service counter to be served,” she said.
“At the time, I believe the restaurant had a number of people in there. The licensed premises had closed and a lot of people were in the restaurant.”

“If any information is known about these two male persons please contact Wollongong Police or Crime Stoppers.”
Social media users have dubbed the man a “grub”, “downright filthy” and suggested “drongo in the Gongo” would be a more fitting slogan for his shirt.
“He wouldn't like it if anyone did that to him at his home,” wrote one woman, Angie Mero.
“Stay classy Wollongong,” commented another, Michelle Preston.
