And Landcare Illawarra has pulled together a spectacular lineup of speakers to showcase some exciting school sustainability initiatives happening in the Illawarra region and beyond.
Speakers including Tony Hepworth, Angela Cook and Julia Barnes will share information about school sustainability education resources, the establishment of a Regional Sustainability Educators Network for the Illawarra, and the learning insights and outcomes from a recent region-wide school sustainability pilot called the Young Sustainability Ambassadors program.
‘’This event is a great opportunity to showcase what is evolving and happening locally to inspire, educate and empower the next generation on sustainability issues we face,’’ Landcare coordinator Megan Rowlatt said.
‘’We strongly encourage anyone interested in, or working on school sustainability initiatives to attend on the evening and network with like-minded people.’’
The ‘Sustainability in Education’ event at Dapto Ribbonwood Centre on November 30 starts at 6pm.
