Police have seized prohibited drugs and contraband during a joint operation at the South Coast Correctional Centre.

Officers from Shoalhaven police and NSW Corrective Services conducted a joint operation at the South Nowra facility about 8am on Sunday.
During the operation 19 people and nine vehicles were searched, resulting in the seizure of prohibited drugs and tobacco, along with ammunition and prescription drugs.
Ten people were issued court attendance notices for offences including: bringing contraband into a place of detention; bring a drug into a place of detention; driving whilst cancelled; and possessing a prescribed restricted substance.
All those issued court notices are due to appear at Nowra Local Court on January 15.
