The Illawarra Connection’s former president of 12 years Roger Summerill was recognised on Tuesday night for his service to the peak networking body.

Mr Summerill succeeded Peter Kell as only the second president of TIC and at a recent board meeting directors voted to appoint him as a life member. In making the presentation TIC’s third president in more than two decades Graham Lancaster presented Mr Summerill with a gift of appreciation. He received a framed selection of photos by Brad Chilby.
At the recent annual general meeting Mr Lancaster was re-elected president, Peter Buckley, of Peoplecare, vice-president, Nick Hartgerink secretary and new board member Justin Bailey, of Yellow Brick Road, treasurer. Other new directors are Kate Quinlivan, of Qulture, as well as Mike Leask.
Continuing directors are Wendy Gee, of Grant Broadcasters, Dr Grace McCarthy,of UOW Sydney Business School, Corinne Whiteman of Fairfax Media, and Yvonne Walker, of HR with Ease.
Three board members did not stand for re-election. They were Mr Summerill, Michelle Kellaway and Stephen Kinsella.
