The crash, which happened near Clover Hill Road about 2.30pm, affected traffic in both directions.
Live Traffic NSW advised drivers to allow extra time or use an alternative route.
A rescue helicopter was called to the scene to transport injured patients to hospital.
Paramedics and other emergency service crews were also in attendance.
