And it’s Bulli High School students who are primarily responsible for the new fitness circuit launched at Coledale Public School on Monday.
The student led project, which has been in development since the beginning of the year, is part of the Developing Future Leaders Program run by Bulli HS in conjunction with their feeder primary schools.
Coledale’s relieving assistant principal and project coordinator, Jen Dowling, said the fitness circuit idea was one the student leaders along with their high school mentors and the school executive, decided was the best fit for the school’s needs.
‘’The school selected four students to work with the high school students earlier this year and since then they have spent many days together brainstorming ideas and then planning this project through to completion,’’ Ms Dowling said.
‘’It has been a great project for the students and a huge learning experience.
‘’Every student at the school has been involved in some way, so it is really a project that the whole school is eagerly anticipating.
‘’The children are very excited about the new fitness circuit and they are just busting to get a chance to start using it.’’
