The Sixers overpowered the Sydney Thunder and Melbourne Stars on the opening weekend of the women’s campaign, including an electrifying hundred from Ashleigh Gardner.
They take on Perth Scorchers at 12pm, before the Sixers meet the Hobart Hurricanes in a near full-strength men’s Big Bash trial match at 4.30pm, featuring international stars like Nic Maddinson and George Bailey.
