South Coast Zone Little Athletics Championships: photos

Hundreds of talented track and field athletes from under seven to 17 were in action at the South Coast Zone Little Athletics Championships last weekend.

The two-day carnival included middle-distance races, to sprints and huirdles, as well as a full range of field disciplines including high jump, long jump, triple jump, shot put, discus and javelin, at Myimbarr Community Park at Flinders.

The first three place-getters in each event gain entry into the regional carnival.

The regional titles – involving Illawarra, South Coast and Riverina athletes – will be held at Kerryn McCann Athletics Track at Beaton Park in Wollongong, with successful athletes then progressing to the NSW carnival in March.
