While Sydney failed to continue their unbeaten start to the season against Perth Scorchers, Burns left her mark in front of family and friends.
She top scored with 33 from 25 balls in her third match in a Sixers uniform.
Burns had previously played with the Hobart Hurricanes in the same competition, but relished the opportunity to return to Wollongong with her new club.
“Playing for Hobart made a game at North Dalton Park out of the question so coming over to the Sixers this year, I have really enjoyed the start of it and knew one of the first games was going to be at home,” Burns said.
“I knew it was going to be a good time coming back down here. It’s great to see people coming down and supporting it. It’s been good.”
