Update 3.50pm: Air crew paramedics have reached a woman injured in a fall at Mount Keira.
The woman is complaining of pain to her neck and hip.
It is not possible for the helicopter to winch the woman out so Police Rescue, fire, ambulance and SES crews are preparing to carry her out on a stretcher.
Earlier:
A rescue chopper is en route to bushland at Mount Keira, where a woman has injured herself after falling 5-10 metres.
The Mercury understands the 28-year-old woman fell down rocks off the Dave Walsh track, about 10 minutes after she departed the nearby Mount Keira lookout.
NSW Ambulance paramedics were called to the bushland location about 3.10pm.
She has injured her ankle and is unable to extract herself.
Early reports indicate she has fallen in a location that is difficult for emergency services to access.
NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived at the lookout a short time ago and are making their way to the injured woman.
More to come.
