A convicted sex predator has been accused of breaching the provisions of the NSW Child Protection Register after he was allegedly found living with a woman and her three young kids at Bellambi.

The man, who cannot be named in order to protect the identity of the children with whom he resided, is facing three charges of failing to comply with reporting obligations under the NSW Child Protection (Offenders Registration) Act.
Court documents reveal the man was convicted of possessing child pornography in 2005 and grooming a child for sex in 2009.
On the grooming offence, he was sentenced to 20 months behind bars, with a non-parole period of 15 months.
The court heard the man was formally placed on the register for a period of 10 years and 88 days in November 2015, at which time he was explained his obligations under the Act.
Among those obligations was a requirement to tell police any address he lived at for more than 14 days in one year, the name, age and address of any children with whom he had ongoing contact and details of any social media accounts he operated.
Police say they received information on Thursday that the man had been living with the woman and her three children at the Bellambi home since November.
Officers attended the house and arrested the man, who claimed he was unaware he had to report his presence in the house to police.
It was also discovered the man had been using the social media video messaging app ‘Glide’ without notifying police.
Registrar Bruiceen Coulthard refused the man’s bail application after it was opposed by police, who said they feared for the safety of the community if the man was released.
