A three-year-old boy was saved from drowning by his older brother in Thirroul this afternoon.
The quick-thinking older sibling managed to get his brother out of the backyard pool before their father could rush to the side and dive in.
The father called the ambulance and paramedics arrived at the house at 4.15pm.
They found the three-year-old vomiting a small amount of water.
The boy was taken to Wollongong Hospital where he was reported to be in a stable condition.
