Down rigging has been the only way to secure the bigger hoods on slimies and squid and slow trolling Bellambi Reef and the Five Islands group have all had kings cruising for a bruising.
Flathead drifts produced some excellent fish and nearly all the recognised drifts from Stanwell Park south to Kiama have seen happy anglers nearly bagging out.
Beaches continue to fish well for all bread and butter species such as bream, whiting and flathead and freshly caught beachworms and pipis are the best bait for these species.
