The group will record an original score by composer William Yaxley which will accompany the upcoming ballet Peter Pan a tthe Illawarra Performing Arts Centre in August.
Artistic director Ryley Gillen said the vision of Illawarra On Pointe is to expand the arts in the region by helping collaboration between artists and organisations, fostering talent and strengthening community appreciation and interests.

“Looking at our achievements since founding the company in 2014, we explored ways to continue expanding the arts in the area from 2017,” Mr Gillen said.
“We’ve put together a talent-packed orchestra that will come together this month to record the new music. Will’s symphonic composition is truly magical and something that we’re excited to share with the community.”
The company will be holding dance auditions later in the month at NRG Studios Illawarra – January 27 to 28 at the studios on Denison Street in Wollongong.
