The Cupid’s Undie Run Kiama race director wants to find a cure for Neurofibromatosis (NF) and is daring people to be bare to help her.
The annual undie run is staged every February and this year there are 17 towns and cities taking part.
“This is very personal to me as my daughter and I both live with the effects of Neurofibromatosis every day,” Mrs Szulerowski
“I am the race director for our Kiama Cupid's Undie Run event for the Children's Tumour Foundation (CTF). CTF is the only charity supporting children and their families with the genetic disorder, Neurofibromatosis. NF causes tumours to form on the nerve cells including the brain and spine. It is progressive and there is no cure.”
Mrs Szulerowski said Cupid's is the largest community fundraising event held for the cause. “We rely on the support and generosity of our communities to raise much needed funds for the CTF and create awareness about NF. Please register at www.cupidsundierun.com.au”.
“It will be a great family day out. You receive a free pair of undies and a shirt, plus lunch and festivities on the day,” she said.
Kiama Lions will support the fundraiser again with a barbecue and many Kiama businesses have rallied behind Mrs Szulerowski with prize donations.
