Police and ambulance were called to a remote section of beach between Port Kembla and Windang on Saturday afternoon after two 14 year old girls became caught in a rip.

The teenagers managed to get themselves back to shore around 3.30pm where they were helped by bystanders.
The two girls were assessed on the beach by emergency personnel.
Both were shaken by the incident and one was suffering from fatigue.
Duty Inspector Kelvin Milne, of NSW Ambulance, said the Ambulance Rescue Helicopter was called in but neither girl was transported to hospital.
