Police are investigating the theft of seven registered firearms from a home on Central Avenue.
Investigators say the home was broken into between 12.45pm and 1.45pm and a firearms safe removed
Seven rifles were taken, as well as an amount of cash and jewellery.
A crime scene was set up and detectives want anyone who has information in relation to the incident to come forward.
Investigators are particularly interested in hearing from any member of the public who may have seen a person or a vehicle acting suspiciously in the vicinity of Central Avenue at Oak Flats early on Thursday afternoon.
