PNG provided little resistance to the Australian attack, with Leke Morea top scoring with 20, as the rest of the team failed to make double figures.
They were bowled out for 59 in 24.5 overs, chasing Australia’s 8-370 off their 50 overs.
However, remarkably, Ralston still missed out on the man-of-the-match honours, as Australian opener Nathan McSweeney smashed 156 runs off 111 balls, including 18 fours and four sixes.
Captain Jason Sangha made 88 off 102 balls, while Param Uppal blasted 61 off 42.
Australia finished second in their pool, after losing to India in the tournament opener, with the quarter finals to begin next week.
