Firefighters are continuing to battle a blaze in the Royal National Park on Monday, after the fire burnt more than 1800 hectares of bush over the weekend.

The bushfire is being treated as suspicious, and burnt out of control on Saturday and Sunday.
On Sunday evening, crews from the Rural Fire Service were controlling the fire and took advantage of easing conditions on Sunday night to strengthen containment lines, the RFS said.
The Royal National Park remains closed on Monday except for residents, and motorists were advised to avoid the area.
The fire was downgraded to advice on Sunday, but conditions were expected to worsen on Monday with hot and dry conditions elevating the fire risk across many regions in the state.

The Bureau of Meteorology issued a fire weather warning on Monday, forecasting severe fire danger for the Greater Hunger, Greater Sydney, Southern Ranges and Central Ranges regions. A total fire ban is in place in those four regions.
A very high fire danger is forecast for the Illawarra/Shoalhaven RFS area, which includes the Kiama, Shellharbour, Shoalhaven, Wingecarribee, Wollondilly and Wollongong.
Temperatures across greater Sydney are expected to remain high on Monday and Tuesday, with tops of 33 degrees and wind forecast in the Royal National Park and Sydney city; 43 degrees for Penrith and 39 for Parramatta.
Conditions will be cooler in Wollongong on Monday, thanks to a sea breeze, with the city expected to reach a top of 31 degrees. The forecast maximum in Albion Park is 35 degrees, while Nowra is tipped to hit 37.
The RFS said 700 firefighters were battling 35 bush and grass fires across NSW on Monday, including the Royal National Park blaze. Thirteen of the fires remain uncontained.
Hundreds of park visitors were rescued by boat after being advised to "head to the beaches" on Saturday.
The RFS said people who needed to collect their cars from Bundeena were able to pick them up on Sunday.
