They and many other early communal groups would have been animist, worshiping things that they were familiar with.
Animals, plants, geological formations, moon , sun, stars and even the weather.
Christianity, barely over 2000 years old, is a monotheistic construct with an all male cast.
Christianity was spread around the world through violence and intimidation, and continues to keep its flock loyal through fear.
Believe it or not, I am a spiritual person.
Who could not be, like early Aboriginals, admiring all the wonders of the universe. I know, some will give god the credit, and if you want to generalize it down to one old man with a beard, up in some hypothetical Heaven, than that's your business. Just leave the rest of us out of it.
My main beef with Adrian Devlin is his ultra-conservative, bigoted and hateful views about homosexuality.
My only daughter told me she thought she was gay at about 14.
Being a liberal person who has a number of gay friends, I could only feel pride in her for being so honest a forthcoming. Adrian would consider her a perverse sinner.
I would ask Adrian who is the worse sinner. A gay person looking for love, or a priest or brother seeking sexual gratification by committing heinous crimes against innocent, vulnerable children?

DECEIT IS STRONG SUIT
When Labor suggested in 2016 that the coalition were privatising Medicare by stealth the coalition cried foul.
Now Greg Hunt has announced that he has agreed with the health insurance companies to increase premiums by 4% which he tells us is the lowest it has been for 17 years.
Last year the increase was 4.8% on a lower base amount.
What Hunt is not telling us is that the health insurance rebate granted to you by the government, which is around 30%, depending on your income, will be reduced to 25% on average.
The private health insurance companies wont tell you what your rebate is either and they no-longer show the value of the rebate on the renewal notice.
The government rebate has gradually eroded as private health insurance premiums have been increasing.
The new rebate for 2018 wont be announced until March, by then we will have absorbed the 4% premium increase.
So your increase will be greater than 4% as your government rebate will be reduced.
What this means is that the annual increases in private health insurance premium have been more than double the rate of inflation in recent years.
Deceit is the government’s strong suit.

TRAFFIC LIGHTS FOR NOTORIOUS PORT KEMBLA INTERSECTION
Finally, it is only intersection I pass very often and makes me stressed.
There are often cars parked very close to intersection on Illawarra St (fully understand, as house owners need to park somewhere) and view is obscured.
Maybe roundabout would be better idea. Also Copper St 40 zone should be extended up to this intersection in my opinion.
Very narrow street and cars parked on both sides. I don't mind losing five seconds every day if it can save somebdy's life or car.

This is long long over due.
About time lights were put in its a horrible intersection I see people taking silly risks every day.
No one has patience and every one thinks they have the right of way.
