It’s part of a national tour for the award-winning songstress who has straddled the worlds of pop, folk, opera and stage musicals. on Thursday she announced more concerts on the tour including at the Newcastle Spiegeltent.
In 2017 Miller-Heidki and her long-time collaborator Keir Nuttall wrote the music and lyrics for the stage adaption of the classic Australian film Muriel’s Wedding (which is completing a completely sold out season with the Sydney Theatre Company).
Fans heading to her Spiegeltent show can expect to hear new versions of Miller-Heidki’s most loved songs as well as some surprises from her esteemed catalogue of work.
Other shows already announced for the temporary venue to be setup in the Arts Precinct include singer-songwriter Dan Sultan, the circus cabaret production Limbo, and acrobats performing to pop sounds in Barrel of Monkeys.
The Spiegeltent is a temporary venue for Merrigong Theatre company and will host an array of entertainment from comedy, to children’s shows, popular musicians and more.
It will be operating from April 12 until May 6 with the full program to be released on Monday February 5. www.spiegeltentwollongong.com
