But fear not, the captain of Coalcliff Surf Club Rob Deacon has announced that the Bombie Bar will continue at its brand new venue in Coledale RSL every second Friday of each month.
The grooving blend of brass, percussion, smooth electric guitar and sweet synth that is local band Garfish supported by Dean Kelly will be launching the Bombie Bar into its new era on February 9, starting at 7pm.
The Bombie Bar has served as a fund-raiser for essential equipment needed by the Coalcliff Surf Life Saving Club for over half a decade.
Its revitalisation will allow the surf club to continue to thrive and be a place of fun and laughter for children on a Sunday morning during Nippers.
Come celebrate the union of the two small local organisations, promoting community spirit and local talents! Tickets are selling for $20 online at https://www.southcoasttickets.com.au/events/garfish-beatmeisters-coaldale-rsl/ and will be selling at the door for $25.

It took 3-4 years for the Bombie Bar to acquire a regular audience, and with the help of the community, it may yet again rise. For musicians young and old interested in playing at a Bombie Bar event, Mr Deacon is available to contact through The Bombie’s Facebook page.
