The competition aims to provide young girls interested in cricket with a fun and safe introduction to the sport.
Commencing this Sunday, the competition for girls aged between 10 and 16 will run for seven weeks throughout February and March, with matches to run for around two hours. Games will take place at Dalton Park in Fairy Meadow and the competition is free.
The competition comes as Cricket Australia increases investment in women’s cricket, with a greater focus on developing junior female players and introducing females to the sport as spectators and players. North Dalton Park hosted a Women’s BBL match in December.
