League fans from around NSW and as far as the UK will descend upon the Illawarra for a week of public events for players and fans, making all visitors welcome. Whether you’re into ball games or not, the atmosphere will be something to be part of.
MONDAY
Meet and Greet
From 10am the general public with have a around an hour-and-a-half to meet the players at Pepe’s On The Beach , 2-14 Cliff Road in North Wollongong.
The Wigan and Hull athletes will be the special guests at the venue’s Super Bowl party.
Pepe’s is about a 10 minute walk from North Wollongong train station, and is next to the Novotel opposite North Beach.
TUESDAY
Training in Action
Fans can watch players at an open training session at the University of Wollongong ovals at 6pm.
A free green Gong Shuttle bus runs every 10 to 20 minutes. The service operates in both directions on a loop from Wollongong Station to Wollongong University (via Wollongong Hospital, Burelli Street and the Innovation Campus). The route numbers for the Gong Shuttle are 55A and 55C.

WEDNESDAY

Fans can watch players at an open training session at WIN Stadium at 6pm.
THURSDAY
Meet the Players
From 8pm footy fans will have around an hour to meet their favourite players at the Illawarra Steelers Club – just opposite WIN Stadium on Burelli Street.
FRIDAY
A Day for Bert – Brett Kenny fundraiser
We’ll be live streaming from the Brett Kenny fundraiser at City Beach Function Centre from 12.45pm. Bert, Peter Sterling, Wigan chairman Ian Lenagan, and Hull FC’s Gareth Ellis and Wigan’s Kris Radlinksi will speak at the function. Watch it here.
A Night for Bert
On the eve of the historic Super League clash at WIN Stadium between fans can join club legends and greats of the game at “A Night For Bert” at the University of Wollongong.
Wigan and Hull greats will join special guest Brett Kenny to look back on the famous 1985 Challenge Cup Final and hear of great times they have shared throughout their careers.
Brett and his family had a tough 2017 with Brett battling cancer and his stepson, Riley, becoming a quadriplegic in an unfortunate accident - proceeds from the evening will go to the Kenny Family.

SATURDAY
It’s Game Day!
Super League’s World Club Champions Wigan Warriors and Challenge Cup holders Hull FC are set to put on an awesome display for footy fans at Wollongong’s WIN Stadium.
The history-making match will feature former NRL stars Frank-Paul Nuuausala, Albert Kelly and Sika Manu as well as England internationals Sam Tomkins, Sean O’Loughlin and Scott Taylor.

This match will be followed by an epic doubleheader at Sydney’s ANZ Stadium on Saturday February 17 February: Wigan Warriors v South Sydney Rabbitohs and Hull FC v St George Illawarra Dragons.

SUNDAY
Recovery
Catch a glimpse of players and maybe say hello as they cool down in the surf at a recovery session at North Wollongong Beach from 10am.
Out-of-towners can then experience true Australia vigor with one of the country’s biggest rock legends, Jimmy Barnes, playing a family-friendly music festival in MacCabe Park from 2pm.
Other musicians include Ian Moss, Mental As Anything, Diesel and Daryl Braithwaite.
