The partnership will see experienced PFA coaches Lee Waddington and Carlos Roca fly to Australia to work with the Illawarra’s emerging football players.
The duo’s first call of duty will be the IFA’s five-day elite player camp at Guest Park in late April.
Boasting over 30 years combined coaching experience, Waddington and Roca have coached for the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Nottingham Forest.
“This new partnership with the IFA will provide locally-based elite junior & youth players access to a direct international player pathway over to the UK,” IFA director Mark Tyssen said.
“Players identified at our camp will have an opportunity to be invited over to the PFA Academy in Manchester for ongoing professional player development.”
