It didn’t take long for the side to achieve that goal.

After resuming play at 7/235, Shellharbour were bowled out for 270, with Mitchell Phelps unable to add to his overnight total of 108.

The close of the innings, however, brought Shellharbour’s bowlers out to the wicket and they quickly got the job done. 

Oak Flats were bowled out for 91 in 37 overs, with Beau Chamberlain taking two wickets and Alex Brown claiming three. 

“It certainly was a pretty tidy effort from all involved,” Shellharbour captain Ned Taylor said. “The bowlers bowled well and we caught well. We bowled good lines, good lengths and good consistent areas. It certainly laid the platform to set aggressive fields and really put the pressure back on Oak Flats.”

The victory moved Shellharbour into fourth on the ladder, with Gerringong unable to pull off an upset over unbeaten Lake Illawarra. 

Opening bowler Aaron Henry ensured any chance of a Gerringong victory was quicky elminated, with the fast-bowler claiming 4/24 as Gerringong were bowled out for 93. Kerrod White then guided the side to victory with an unbeaten 64. The Lakers reached their target of 75 in just 12 overs. 

The Rail resumed play at 5/157, with first-innings points already secured, however they were unable to claim the outright victory over Kookas. Dylan Rae top-scored for the Razorbacks with 184 not out.
