Mental As Anything kicked off Jimmy Barnes’ festival concert which also included many of Australia’s greatest musicians of the 1970s and 1980s.
Ian Moss, Diesel and Daryl Braithwaite also performed during Yours & Owls’ first major festival of 2018.
But it was the Working Class Man himself Jimmy Barnes, many had come to see.
And they weren’t disappointed – even though they had to wait until the very end to hear one of the “founding fathers of Australian rock ‘n’ roll” perform.
Yours @ Owls co-founder Ben Tillman said it was great to run a festival which appealed to so many in the community.

“Most of the festivals we’ve run in the past have catered to a younger audience,” he said.
“As you can see, this concert is appealing to young and old alike.
“It has such a great line-up led by the one and only Jimmy Barnes – he really is true royalty.”
Organisers expected to sell about 5000 tickets but more than 6500 people rocked up on Sunday.
“It’s a good turnout. We’ll see how it goes and consider bringing it back next year.”
