Whoever slots into No.9 at Allianz Stadium on Sunday will have big boots to fill for the Sky Blues, who must do without their Matildas star in the biggest game of the year.

Her absence, due to a foot injury from last weekend's semi-final win over Newcastle, can't be understated in the Sky Blues' bid to stop City claiming an historic three-peat and install themselves as the first side to win a third title to go with their 2009 and 2013 trophies.

"We've got three options - or four," Juric said.

"So Emma Rolston, Leena Khamis and Remy (Siemsen). It'll be out of those three and then the fourth option is dragging Princess (Ibini) in the middle and playing someone wide.

"We'll have a look today to see how it finalises.

"We've scored many goals but we don't have a leading goalscorer that stands out."

A start for Siemsen might add some favourable symmetry for Sydney.

The 18-year-old, last season's W-League young player of the year, scored the 91st-minute winner against City in round five - the Sky Blues' first win of the season and first-ever against their well-resourced rivals.

Since then they've gone 10 games unbeaten.

Though it wasn't lost on Juric that Lisa De Vanna and Jess Fishlock were both missing in that match and Foord was yet to re-sign, there was still something galvanising about it.

"It's a lucky venue maybe, so we'll see," Juric said.

"But that even brought together our team, drawing 2-2 and needing to score in the last minute.

"The joy on their faces was something I'll never forget."

Captain Teresa Polias won't either, not least because she scored her maiden club goal eight years after signing.

"That game was a really important fixture and it sort of set us on the run we've been on," she said.

"Ten games (undefeated) now and hopefully 11 tomorrow.

"The beauty of our team is that we do have a lot of depth.

"I know that if Remy steps in, or Leena or Prinny, they will do a good job."

More than 5000 are expected to turn out to the decider, the biggest held in Sydney yet.
