White scored a stunning 99 not out off just 60 deliveries as he steered his side to a mammoth 4-210 off 20 overs.

The innings included a 103-run partnership with brother Brendan, who scored 65 off just 40 deliveries.

Kookas had no reply with the bat, losing two wickets in the first over of the run chase and were bowled out for 98.

The victory adds to Lake Illawarra’s win in the 50-over final last December and keeps alive the team’s hopes of both an undefeated season and a clean sweep of the three trophies on offer.

Kookas struggled from the very first delivery, with Jacob O’Connell’s opening ball adjudged a wide.

He went on to bowl three wides, including one that traveled to the boundary, in an expensive over that went for 12.

The dismissal of Scott Ulcigrai for 14 in the fourth over did nothing to stem the flow of runs.

Brendan White came to the crease and combined with Kerrod to blast Lake to a dominant position.

Kerrod took the team past 200 after Brendan’s departure in the 15^th over.

Ben Minnis returned the best figures for Kookas taking 2-32 off his four overs with Gerard Healey (1-28 off four overs) and Darren O’Connnell (1-35) the other wicket-takers.

Lakers captain Mark Ulcigrai ensured there would be no miracle run chase, reducing Kookas to 2-3 after just one over. 

Aaron Henry chipped in with a wicket in the second over and from there, regular dismissals prevented the Kookas batsmen from getting anything going. Ulcigrai finished with figures of 4-14 and Henry 2-16.

Fittingly it was Kerrod White who took the final wicket, with Kookas bowled out for 98 in the 20^th over.
