Higgins’ has had multiple hits since her debut album The Sound Of White in 2004 including five chart toppers, she is a nine-time ARIA Award winner and has gone on to grace the cover of Rolling Stone magazine twice. Solastalgia will be the first original album in six years and is set for release on May 4.
“This album is really different from anything I’ve done before, I think people will be really surprised, but I think the songs will fit nicely alongside my old material, too,” Higgins said.
“There are a lot of female harmonies in the new material so I’m glad we’re gonna have four amazing women on stage belting them out.”
Her solo tour follows a string of dates opening for international superstar Ed Sheeran throughout March.
Last year Higgins starred in the Australian evangelical comedic musical, Miracle City, at the Sydney Opera House.
