The Real Estate Institute of NSW is hosting the annual Wollongong Novice Auctioneers Competition.
Entrants can’t be a professional auctioneer, and must have undertaken less than five auctions.
A series of heats throughout the state will lead to the state final, which will feature up-and-coming auctioneers battling it out to become the next NSW champion.
The Wollongong heat will take place on Wednesday, May 9 from 6pm to 9pm at Harbourfront Seafood Restaurant.
The winner of the Wollongong competition progresses to the state final later in the year.
The public can attend, and bid for a series of auction items while supporting charity.
The funds raised will go to R U OK and the I98FM Illawarra Convoy.
