The 50-year-old man is believed to have fallen about 30 metres, slamming into a tree before hitting the ground.
He has suffered a closed head injury, a facial injury and suspected pelvic injuries.
NSW Ambulance paramedics were called to his aid shortly before 5pm Monday.
Five ambulance crews, and police, are now at the site.
Ambulance crews are using spinal precautions when moving the man.
An ambulance rescue chopper has landed at Stanwell Park Beach Reserve and is expected to depart for a Sydney hospital shortly.
