Valentine Holmes dropped a couple of crucial high balls in difficult night to the Sharks when they lost to North Queensland in the season opener in Townsville.
But Shane Flanagan has maintained the faith by keeping Holmes in the No.1 jersey and Dugan in the centres with Ricky Leutele for Thursday night’s showdown at Shark Park.
NSW representative forward Wade Graham had urged to allow the Sharks time to fire after the Cowboys loss.
"It's one game,” he said.
“You need probably a good month of football before you can start tinkering with things. We need a bit of time of settle.
“… As a teammate we want Duges to play well, but we can't have him too focused on that. We want him to play well against his old club, but we want him to play well for us.
