An elderly man is in hospital after being struck by a car this morning on Kembla Street in Wollongong.
Wollongong police said the man sustained injuries in the accident, which occurred around 8am.
Traffic was thrown into chaos as people headed to work in the CBD, with both lanes of Kembla Street closed between Market Street and Crown Street.
The elderly man was taken to hospital but no more details are available about his condition or the circumstances of the crash.
Wollongong police are investigating the incident.
