The NSW Rural Fire Service has issued bans for a number of regions due to a severe fire danger rating with Sunday temperatures forecast to be in the high thirties and winds hot and gusty from the north-west.
Wollongong will reach 39 degrees tomorrow according to the Bureau of Meteorology, with north-westerly winds of 30 to 45 km/h, shifting southerly to 20 to 30 km/h in the late evening.
The total fire ban will end midnight Sunday. Warm weather will continue on Monday but will only get to a maximum of 28 degrees, with cooler weather and possible showers from Tuesday to Friday.
The NSW RFS urges anyone living in or visiting a bush fire prone area to review their bush fire survival plan, remain vigilant and report any fires without a fire truck in attendance immediately to Triple Zero.
