8.22am: All northbound lanes of the Princes Highway have reopened in Waterfall, however traffic remains heavy with drivers queued back about 12kms.
One of two northbound lanes had been closed after an earlier two-car crash near Eckersley Road.
The vehicles involved in the crash have now been moved to the breakdown lane.
Earlier: Motorists travelling north on the Princes Highway between Waterfall and Heathcote are experiencing significant delays after a two-car crash near the Old Princes Highway.
One northbound lane of the highway is closed at Eckersley Road.
Northbound traffic is very heavy and queued back 12kms past Waterfall.
Drivers are advised to allow plenty of additional travel time.
Emergency services are on site and traffic crews are attending.
