Auditions are being held to find the next Audrey Hepburn and Rex Harrison for the Arcadians Theatre Company’s upcoming production of My Fair Lady.
It’s been 25 years since the group last performed the classic musical with hits I Could Have Danced All Night and The Rain in Spain at the Miner’s Lamp Theatre in Corrimal.
For those who don’t know the story, Eliza Doolittle is a young flower seller with an unmistakable Cockney accent, keeping her in the lower rungs of Edwardian society. When Professor Henry Higgins tries to teach her how to speak like a proper lady an unlikely friendship begins to flourish.
An information session will be held on Monday March 26 at 7:30pm at the Miner’s Lamp Theatre for all budding musical actors, singers and dancers who are interested in auditioning.
Auditions will be help April 2 and April 4. The season runs August 10 to 25.
