The first victory of the day came from the unbeaten Tarsha Gale side, who ran out winners 58-32. The win was set up by tries by Lilly-Rose Bennett (four), Keely Davis (three), Maddison Weatherall, Abby Holmes, Rhiannon Brown and Michaela Scutts.
Up next, the Steelers’ Harold Matthews smashed the Dragons 44-8.
After the Steelers’ Joshua Goodchild scored in the opening minute, the flood gates opened, with Tyrrell Sloan (fourth minute), Talatau Amone (sixth), Tearana Temaari (eighth), Amone (12th), Goodchild (38th) and Cooper Tunbridge (49th and 59th) crossing.
The final junior match of the day saw the SG Ball side record their fourth win of the season, 30-16 against the Dragons. Two tries from Aaron Schoupp and Mathew Feagai, along with one each from Blake Dowel and Samuel Hooper, set-up the win.
