Earlier this month Aaron James Scott Simons was sentenced to six months imprisonment after he admitted he stole $6500 worth of goods from the woman’s Holburn Street home, including a fridge, a television and an electric mower.
In Wollongong District Court on Monday Judge Warwick Hunt heard Simons had been jailed without a pre-sentence report having been prepared for consideration by the sentencing magistrate.
Simons, of Ingleburn, was released on conditional bail to allow for the preparation of the report.
He is to return to court for the judge’s decision, on June 13.
