The 19-year-old was riding his motorcycle west on Lake Entrance Road, when it collided with an eastbound Honda Odyssey Wagon about 8.35pm on Monday.
He suffered critical injuries and was flown to St George Hospital, where he later died.
Porter’s friends have taken to social media to remember him as a “cheeky” kid and a “wild thing”, who would never be forgotten.
“Can't believe it, Gone to soon bro, may you R.I.P Porter Coady. Fly High,” Craig Absalom wrote on Facebook.
Marko Angelo Babasoro posted: “RIP PORTER COADY gone but never forgotten mate.”
Another friend, Shannon Leigh, posted an image of Porter on Facebook, with the caption: “I honestly can’t believe how fast you can lose someone, from 10+ years of friendship to having to say goodbye. you were such a cheeky, hypo kid that made my childhood and school years great. Someone who will not easily be forgotten. Rest in paradise Porter Coady, we will never forget you.”
The 44-year-old woman behind the wheel of the car was not injured, but taken to Shellharbour Hospital for mandatory tests.
Investigations into the accident are continuing.
Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

This doesn’t feel real, 13 years of friendship and memories that I will cherish forever! Absolutely shattered this has happened. I’m numb and speechless. I’m going to miss that cheeky laugh and smile.
I hope youre getting rowdy up there!!!
Thank you for being there for myself, James and Levii and being the best godfather to Levii the past year. He loves you so very much.
We all do.
Until we meet again.
Fly high portski❤️🙏🏼

I didn’t know Porter well at all, but we shared three days at Tafe each week from the start of this year. He was always inquisitive and wanted to learn more about fitness. I’m so angry! He is so young, he is my age and had all the world to experience, to learn about cut short. It’s not fair. It seemed the class environment was a safe and happy place for him and i hope he felt joy and support from it before leaving us all who will mourn this huge absence. My deepest sympathies to his family and close friends who struggle through this sudden, shocking, time.

Another young life taken from his friends & family. Just a tragedy for all who were lucky enough to have known Porter R.I.P. My heartfelt condolences.
