Squiers, who’s had a busy start to the year chasing WSL ratings points, will strengthen a team that also includes Shaun Warren, Hayden Blair, Dan Salaby and Jacob Clarke.
The explosive natural footer has been one of the form surfers so far this year on the World Tour taking out the Burleigh Pro in January and currently sits in 41st position on the WQS ratings.
“2018 so far has been a great year for me with a win at Burleigh as well as a few Quarter Final finishes in the QS1000’s,” Squiers said.
“I’ve felt very focused and on point so far and everything is in balance.
“I’m pumped for this weekends Sailor Jerry Surftag and the forecast looks great, it’s always fun jumping into the club events as it adds another dynamic to competing.
“It’s all about the whole team doing their part and putting together consistent surfing, I love the different approach you have to take for this event and I’m fired up and ready to go.”
Scarborough will be looking to improve on their fourth place finish in last year’s regional qualifier, which was won by local club Elouera.
