This calorie budget, if not adhered to closely, can easily blow out and cause no drop in weight or even potentially weight gain. Foods that are perceived to be healthy but hold a lot of extra calories or sugars include:
Fruit juices; flavoured yoghurts and milks; muesli bars and cereals.
All these perceived “healthy foods” are packed with a lot of energy and sugar if we are looking at losing weight.
Some better alternatives include:
Greek yoghurt or full cream milk; oats with protein powder and LSA; home-made nut bars.
Be wary of hidden calories as all your hard work can easily be undone very quickly.
