A bus fire at the bottom of Macquarie Pass forced the closure of the Illawarra Highway on Monday afternoon.

Police and RFS crews were called to the fire near Tongarra Mine Road about 3.20pm.
The fire was extinguished, and crews were called to clean up an oil spill.
The Illawarra Highway was closed in both directions but has since reopened.
