The allegations were detailed yesterday in documents before Wollongong Local Court where Guangming Li, 37, of Quarry Close, Yagoona, appeared on charges of carrying out a development without Wollongong City Council consent and allowing prostitution on massage parlour premises.
Magistrate Paul Johnson adjourned the case to next month to allow Li to seek legal advice.
According to police, Li identified himself as the owner and manager of Asian Rose on Auburn St, Wollongong, when police attended the premises in September.
Three plain clothes officers were investigating the brothel on suspicions it was selling illegal alcohol and operating without council approval.
The officers were allegedly introduced to a woman aged about 23 named Angela.
Li and another woman were allegedly present when the officers were advised that it would cost each of them $90 for 30 minutes with Angela and she detailed the sexual services she provided. Police were also allegedly told they could have two more women each if required.
Li later told police he believed the business had been registered as a massage parlour in the name of Asian Rose. He told the court yesterday that he had now applied to council for approval for the brothel.
Li is due to appear in court again on February 19, when he will be expected to enter a plea.
