Jamberoo farmer Ben Honey is back on the market, and this time the former contestant of The Farmer Wants A Wife is looking for a local lady. While Honey found reality television love with Sydney nanny Sarah Walton, 28, the tyranny of distance and a gag by a women's magazine put an end to their live-in relationship last week. And in good news for the women of the region, Honey, 31, now says he would like to find love with someone who lives nearby. The sixth-generation dairy farmer said he was looking for someone aged between 25 and 32, who is fun, outgoing and independent."But essentially someone that can put up with me," Mr Honey said. "Part of the problem with me and Sarah is that it was basically the wrong time of year for her to move down here because I am really busy with work." ... so that is why I am thinking local now."Ms Walton moved to the Honey farm in September and the couple sold the story of their domestic bliss to Woman's Day magazine. However, the magazine deal meant Ms Walton's presence on the farm had to be kept secret, making it difficult for her to find work and settle in."She ended up getting a job back in Sydney ... and it just wasn't going to work," Mr Honey said. "I don't know if I am sorry about it, I think it is for the better."
